Autumn Harvest Weekend at Old Sturbridge Village

Visit Old Sturbridge Village and celebrate the autumn harvest! Travel back to the 1830s and learn about the journey food takes before it gets to the table. Join costumed historians interpreting what it was like to harvest apples, potatoes, carrots, and more. Discuss food preparation, thresh and winnow grain, and shell beans. See how they put their gardens to rest before the winter. In accordance with MA state guidelines, all guests are asked to wear a face mask when interacting with staff or other visitors and when social distancing is not possible. All buildings are currently closed, but many programs have been modified for viewing outside, and there are plenty of demonstrations that you can watch outdoors. Autumn Harvest Weekend takes place October 17th & 18th from 9:30 AM – 4 PM. Purchase/reserve tickets here.
