One of the nation's largest privately held real estate investment and property management firms with a sixty year track record of success managing apartment communities, has an exciting opportunity for an organized, hard-working and established Maintenance Foreman to join our team!
As the Maintenance and Facilities expert of your community you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the day-to-day activities of workers, maintaining and repairing the physical infrastructure of the property and maintaining grounds of multiple apartment communities in the Flint/Lansing area.
You will be asked to implement creative and cost-effective procedures to complete work orders, turns, grounds-keeping, and more.
The model candidate will have experience performing walk-through inspections of vacated apartment units, reviewing resident repair requests, maintaining after hours and emergency on-call coverage and service and maintaining time and production records, including a robust Preventative Maintenance program. The best candidate will be able to work unsupervised and lead a team with little-to-no direction.
We believe that our people are one of our most important assets, and we invest in them accordingly. We offer our employees health/dental/vision benefits, 401(k), ongoing professional development and much more.
About the Company:
Over sixty years ago, Aspen Square Management’s founder, Harold Grinspoon, had a simple but powerful idea. If he purchased apartments, fixed them up, rented them out and provided exceptional customer service for his residents, he could not only make a living, but improve the quality of residents’ lives. From this modest beginning he grew Aspen Square Management into what it is today- one of the top fifty apartment owners and management companies in the U.S.
Today Aspen Square Management operates over eighty communities in sixteen states around the country, with over half the portfolio being purchased in the past three years. Being both the owner and manager of these properties is unique in the industry. It means we are not just managing our communities as a business to collect fee income, but as owners we are managing to create the best possible living experience for our residents.
We are a privately held company, which means we can make decisions that benefit our residents rather than outside investors whose interests may not align with the communities’ best interests. Their goal is to make sure you experience the Aspen Difference: beautifully landscaped grounds, common area amenities including clubhouses and resort style pools and decks, designer kitchens and baths, 24 hour emergency maintenance and much more.
