We’re ready for you. We’re seeking an ambitious self-starter strong in Financial Management to serve as Senior Accountant / Financial Manager.

Aspen Square Management is one of the largest privately held real estate investment and property management firms in the US. Based in West Springfield, MA, Aspen boasts a 60-year track record of success in the multi-family housing industry. Our niche is rebranding, repositioning and rehabbing distressed apartment communities throughout the country. We are seeking a Senior Accountant / Financial Manager to help manage the financial and accounting operations of our $1.6 Billion apartment all based out of our Home Office. Responsibilities include:

  • Support leadership with financial and administrative projects.

  • Participate in new system implementations and integrations.

  • Assist with income tax return preparation and tax planning.

  • Assist with property financing and Lender compliance.

  • Prepare portfolio-level reporting.

  • Develop, implement and test internal controls.

  • Administer real estate tax appeals in all jurisdictions in conjunction with consultants

  • Assist with completion of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process including journal entries, financial statement preparation, and related analysis.

  • Reconcile accounts and review reconciliations prepared by others.

  • Develop tools to assist field managers with the budget process.

    Qualifications:

  • BS in Finance, Accounting or Economics required. CPA or MBA a plus

  • 5-7 years of Financial Management or Accounting experience

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret and evaluate financial results

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with tight deadlines

  • Ability to work independently and as a team player

  • Motivated, proactive self starter

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
